SSOM: SharePoint Services Adapter Web Service

Using the SharePoint Services adapter, you can receive messages from SharePoint Services and send messages to SharePoint Services.

The SharePoint Services Web Service Adapter, which is deprecated, uses the SharePoint Services Service Side Object Model (SSOM). The web service is installed on the SharePoint Services computer, which can be on the same computer as BizTalk Server or a separate computer. It is recommended to install SharePoint Services and BizTalk Server on separate computers.

We recommend using the Client Side Object Model (CSOM) of the SharePoint Services Adapter. See CSOM: SharePoint Services Adapter and Appendix B: Install the Microsoft SharePoint Adapter for installation and configuration options.
