Use the Map Properties window to view information relating to the map you have selected in the details pane. Map properties are configured in Microsoft® Visual Studio. The Description box is an exception; you can edit it in the Map Properties window.

| Name | Displays the name of the map. |
| Assembly | Displays the fully qualified name (version, culture, public key token) of the binary that physically contains the map. |
| Source schema | Displays the name of the schema from which the map is drawing data. |
| Target schema | Displays the name of the schema that defines the structure of the instance messages the map generates. |
| Description | Type any text that helps you distinguish this orchestration from others. The maximum number of characters allowed is 256. |
