Since Customer Driven Updates (CDU) are no more, you can test out new updates in preview (for Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow). Until now, customers were not able to sign up easily to get early access to the updates across Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement; they were not able to develop and validate the apps on a regular basis prior to the next update.

With the new preview, customers now have a way to develop and test new updates to the platform before they are rolled out broadly to all production orgs, providing a self-service way to ensure continuity with their own deployed solutions. Customers can create a 'preview' environment in the United States or they can copy an existing environment over to 'preview' from the Power Platform admin center.
