The d.velop Power Automate connector enables you, to connect systems out of your heterogenous company environment to your d.velop cloud tenant. You will be able to automize eventbased tasks like uploading a document to your d.velop documents, which was generated in a system available in Power Automate. Further possibilities are the digital signature with d.velop sign or starting a process you designed in d.velop documents from a third party application.
As a prerequisite you need a d.velop cloud tenant to connect to, which implicates at least one registered d.velop cloud account. We recommend you to have at least one d.velop documents repository configured to proceed with.
Start your journey on https://store.d-velop.com. You can create an instance of d.velop documents directly here: https://store.d-velop.com/de/d.velop-documents/10001602.1.
To complete the booking process please following the instructions.
Assuming, that your d.velop documents application is available at this point, follow the next steps to create an API Key.
- Start on your d.velop documents homepage.
- Click on the tile configuration.
- Navigate to the login settings and click on Settings for login
- Click on the fingerprint on the right context menu.
- Click on the plus on the right context menu.
- Select the user you wish to be used as the service account.
- Give it a descriptive name and click on Create.
- Click on your newly created entry in the list of API keys. You can now copy the API Key with the copy icon on the right side for further use in your MS Power Automate connector configuration.
You have successfully created an API key. Before you can use this API key, you have to add a trusted app to your d.velop cloud instance on this site https://.d-velop.cloud/integrationplatform/config
Proceed with the following steps:
- Click on Manage app trusts to open the configuration dialog on the right side.
- Click on Copy app-id. The application name is stored in the clipboard.
- Insert the app name in the right field containing Enter app name and click on Add.
- Select a Service-User and click on Test. If the test is successful click on Save.
You have added a trusted app, so the communication of the Power Automate Connector should now be successful with your d.velop cloud instance.
Create a new instant cloud flow and select the trigger Manually trigger a flow. After that add a file input and add the action Store document from the d.velop connector. If you have already entered the credentials go ahead with selecting the repository and the category of your destination. Enter your file reference from the trigger and add some attributes for the document which will be stored in d.velop documents. Save the flow and enjoy your fist new functionality.
Create a new instant cloud flow and select the trigger Manually trigger a flow. After that add a file input and add the action Execute an action from d.velop connector. If you have already entered the credentials go ahead with selecting the action Start signature process. Enter your file reference from the trigger and select a recipient and the sign level for the signature. If you like you can enter a custom message or an initiator name. Save the flow and enjoy.
Create a new automated cloud flow and select the trigger d.velop event (Webhook) from d.velop connector. If you have already entered the credentials go ahead with selecting the trigger d.velop documents – Document or dossier created. If you like you can add some special categories under the advanced options. After that you can use the information from the trigger and send yourself a Microsoft teams chat message with the action Post message in a chat or channel. Save the flow and enjoy.
If you delete a trigger you might see, that the webhook registration in d.velop documents configuration is not deleted. That could be, if you don’t set the trusted app and the service user in the configuration of d.velop connect for integration platform. You will find the configuration under the following url: https://.d-velop.cloud/integrationplatform/config
You are able to create an infinite loop with the given triggers and actions. If you create an infinite loop you will increase your cost for your d.velop cloud tenant and you will probably overfill your system with unnecessary documents. Please check before activation that you don’t created an infinite loop.
HTTP status code 404 could be returned if the environment cannot be reached or a slash ( / ) was specified after the d.velop cloud domain address. Remove the slash behind the d.velop cloud domain. If you rather cannot connect to your environment, please contact the d.velop support under support@d-velop.com.
HTTP status code 403 could be returned if the user behind the API-Key does not have enough rights to execute the selected action or trigger. Please go into your d.velop cloud domain and add the necessary rights for the user. If you don’t know which rights are necessary, ask your administrator of the d.velop cloud tenant.

The format of the address is always: https://.d-velop.cloud Important: Don’t add a slash as suffix!
