Authentication

The server implements OAuth 2.1 as an authorization server for MCP clients and acts as a confidential OAuth client towards the Eventtia platform.

Item Value
Grant types authorization_code, refresh_token
PKCE Required, S256 only (plain is rejected)
Scope api_access
Authorization endpoint https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/authorize
Token endpoint https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/token
Refresh endpoint https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/token
Revocation endpoint https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/token
Dynamic client registration https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/register
Discovery /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server, /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource
Bearer token delivery Authorization header

Upstream Eventtia access tokens are never returned to the MCP client. They are stored encrypted in Cloudflare Workers KV and injected server-side on outbound calls; refresh is automatic and rotates the upstream refresh token.

MCP access tokens issued to clients live for 1 hour. Upstream Eventtia tokens live for 2 hours and are refreshed only when they would expire before the next client token refresh.

Azure Key Vault secrets

Store the following secrets in the Key Vault referenced by agentConnectors[0].toolSource.remoteMcpServer.authorization.referenceId. Names are case-sensitive.

Secret Value
ClientId Client id of the OAuth client registered for Microsoft at https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/register
ClientSecret Matching client secret
AuthorizationUrl https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/authorize
TokenUrl https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/token
RefreshUrl https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/token
Scopes api_access

Data handling

  • Every call executes strictly within the permissions of the signed-in Eventtia user. The server performs no privilege escalation and holds no service account.
  • Sensitive attendee fields - document_id, birthdate, telephone, alternative_email, invoice_address, custom_fields, metadata - are redacted from listAttendees and getAttendee responses by default. They are returned only when the caller passes them explicitly in sensitive_fields, which the tool descriptions gate on an explicit user request tied to a registration or compliance workflow.
  • Error responses are logged by status code only; response bodies carrying attendee personal data are never written to logs.
  • Authentication failures surface as JSON-RPC -32000 so the client prompts a reconnect rather than feeding "you were logged out" back to the model.

Known issues and limitations

  • Eventtia account required. The connector is not usable without an existing Eventtia account with API access enabled. There is no anonymous or trial mode.
  • API V4 surface only. Modules not covered by Connect API V4 - among them agendas, sponsors, meeting scheduling, badge printing and the email campaign builder - are not reachable through this server.
  • Pagination caps. List tools page at a maximum page_size of 24 records. Large exports require iterating page_number.
  • Sensitive fields are opt-in per call. sensitive_fields is not sticky; it must be supplied on each listAttendees or getAttendee call that needs it.
  • Soft deletes. deleteCheckpoint archives rather than removes the record. destroySession cascades and cancels all active enrollments for the session.
  • Outbound email. resendAttendeeEmail sends mail to an external recipient and is annotated destructive and openWorld for that reason.
  • Payments are records, not transactions. createPayment and deletePayment write to the Eventtia payment ledger; they do not move money or contact a payment processor.
  • Rate limiting. Eventtia API rate limits (HTTP 429) are surfaced verbatim with the upstream Retry-After value; the server does not queue or retry.
  • Localization. Tool names and descriptions are English only. Content returned from the API is in whatever locales the event has configured.

Testing notes for certification

  1. Connect the server from an MCP client and complete the OAuth sign-in against a test Eventtia account.
  2. Call listEvents, then getEvent with a returned uuid.
  3. Call listAttendees and confirm sensitive attendee fields are absent from the response.
  4. Repeat with sensitive_fields: ["telephone"] and confirm only that field returns.
  5. Call getEventSummary and getWorkshopStats for read-only reporting paths.
  6. Write paths can be exercised against a disposable test event with createAttendee followed by confirmAttendee.

Test account credentials are supplied separately in the Partner Center certification notes field.
