LeadIQ brings verified B2B contact and company data to your AI agents. Look up contacts by name, email, or LinkedIn URL to get work emails, direct dials, job titles, and employer info. Enrich companies by domain for firmographics, tech stack, and funding history. Prospect for new leads using filters like title, seniority, industry, company size, and technology stack — returned as a flat list or grouped by company for account-based outreach.

Because LeadIQ runs as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, the entire prospecting loop — discovery, enrichment, research, and outreach planning — happens inside a single agent conversation without switching tabs or losing context. The data isn't locked in one workflow either: it flows into whatever other tools and systems your agent is connected to, enabling end-to-end automation that wasn't possible when prospecting lived in its own silo.

Credit balance and usage are visible at any time from within the conversation (CheckCredits), with estimated costs disclosed and explicit consent obtained before paid data unlocks — so there's never a question of where you stand.

Prerequisites

To use this MCP server you need:

  • A LeadIQ account. Any plan works, including the free tier — create a freemium account in minutes; no additional integration setup or administrator approval is required.
  • Universal Credits (UC) on the account if you intend to use the paid discovery and enrichment tools (FindPeople, FindCompanies, EnrichPeople, EnrichCompanies). The eleven remaining tools are free and consume no credits.

Obtaining Credentials

The connection uses OAuth 2.0 (authorization code flow, issued by LeadIQ's Auth0 tenant). When you create a connection, you are redirected to LeadIQ to sign in and approve access for the api:company and offline_access scopes. No API key needs to be copied manually, and no administrator pre-approval is required.

For reviewers — test account

A dedicated test account has been provisioned for certification review. It has username and password credentials and Universal Credits pre-loaded, so every tool — including the paid discovery and enrichment tools — can be exercised end to end. These credentials are made available to the certification team through the Partner Center submission thread; they are not printed here because this file is open-sourced to the public PowerPlatformConnectors repository.

You can also self-provision in a few minutes if you prefer: create a free LeadIQ account (free Universal Credits included), then sign in with that account at the LeadIQ prompt when you create the connection. No administrator approval is required either way.

When creating the connection you are redirected to the LeadIQ sign-in page; sign in with the provisioned (or your own) account and approve access. Call CheckCredits first to see the available balance and live per-field prices before running paid tools.

Supported Operations

The server exposes a single MCP endpoint (https://mcp.leadiq.com/mcp, streamable transport). Any agent platform that supports MCP automatically discovers the fifteen tools below; names, descriptions, inputs, and outputs are inherited from the server and stay up to date as the server evolves.

Free tools (no Universal Credits consumed)

GetProspectList Fetches one list by id including the prospects saved in it (paginated).
GetProspect Fetches one saved prospect by id with the full record (emails, phones, company, location, list memberships, notes).
SearchProspects Searches your saved prospects across all lists by exact email, or by first and last name together.

Re-lookups of previously unlocked fields are free for 1 year.
EnrichCompanies Looks up to 10 known companies per call; returns firmographics, technographics, funding, revenue, NAICS/SIC, social profiles. 3 UC per company result returned. Re-lookups within 1 year are free.
FindPeople Discovers new people matching ideal-customer-profile filters (title, seniority, role, industry, size, tech stack, revenue, funding, location, hire/promotion triggers). 0.1 UC per record (profile); 3 UC per record with the company-firmographics unlock.
FindCompanies Discovers new companies/accounts matching the same filter set; returns companies only plus a count of matching contacts. 3 UC per company by default (full firmographics); 0.1 UC per company in id+name-only scoping mode.

The tool descriptions served by the MCP server instruct agents to compute and disclose the estimated credit cost, and to obtain the user's explicit consent before company-firmographic unlocks or any operation estimated above 1,000 UC. LeadIQ bills only on data actually returned.

Getting Started

  1. Add the LeadIQ MCP server as a tool in your agent platform and create a connection by signing in with your LeadIQ account.
  2. Ask the agent something like "Find VPs of Sales at US software companies with 100–500 employees" (FindPeople), "Enrich jane@acme.com and get her phone number" (EnrichPeople), or "Save her to my Q3 Outbound list" (AddProspectToList).
  3. Use "How many credits do I have left?" (CheckCredits) at any time to monitor spend.

Known Issues and Limitations

  • MCP Streamable HTTP transport only; responses are SSE-framed (text/event-stream). The server is stateless (no Mcp-Session-Id), and GET (standalone stream) and DELETE (session termination) on /mcp return 405. The deprecated standalone HTTP+SSE transport is not offered.
  • Batch limits: EnrichPeople and EnrichCompanies accept at most 10 entries per call.
  • Pagination: list/search tools return at most 100 items per page (default 25).
  • SearchProspects requires exactly one query mode: an email alone, or first name and last name together. Half-name or combined email+name queries are rejected.
  • CreateProspect and AddProspectToList are not idempotent: identical repeated calls create duplicate prospects. AttachProspectToList is idempotent.
  • VerifyProspectEmail returns an error with code no_email_to_verify when the prospect has no stored email.
  • Paid tools consume Universal Credits from the connected account; agents are instructed to disclose costs, but administrators should monitor usage via CheckCredits and LeadIQ's own usage reporting.
  • Personal data returned by this server (business emails and phone numbers) is sourced from LeadIQ's B2B database and is subject to LeadIQ's privacy policy and data-subject processes.
  • Rate limits: standard LeadIQ API rate limits apply to the MCP endpoint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do free tools ever consume credits?

No. The eleven management/verification tools never consume Universal Credits. Credits are only consumed by EnrichPeople, EnrichCompanies, FindPeople, and FindCompanies, and only for data actually returned.

The server's tool guidance requires explicit user consent before high-cost operations (company-firmographic unlocks, or estimated totals above 1,000 UC) so that credit spend is never a surprise.

Can the server modify my CRM?

No. The server only reads from LeadIQ's database and reads/writes the prospects and lists inside your own LeadIQ workspace. It has no access to external CRMs.

Deployment Instructions

This connector is published as a certified MCP server; no manual deployment is required. To run it as a custom connector before certification, import apiDefinition.swagger.json, configure the OAuth settings from apiProperties.json, and create a connection with a LeadIQ account.
