Install Finance agents Add-in(admin-deployed)

This article explains how to install Finance agents Add-in as an administrator.

Business users (end users) can also install Finance agents Add-in individually. Learn more in Install Finance agents business user-deployed.

Note

To deploy and install Finance agents Add-in by using the Microsoft 365 admin center, you must be an administrator in the tenant.

Administrators can use the Integrated apps feature in the Microsoft 365 admin center to install Finance agents Add-ins. You can deploy and install both Finance agents Add-ins (Outlook and Excel) through the Integrated apps feature.

Administrators can start the process for each Add-in in either the Microsoft 365 admin center or AppSource. If an administrator starts in AppSource, they're directed to complete the process in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Install the Finance agents for Outlook Add-in from the Microsoft 365 admin center

To install the Finance agents for Outlook Add-in from the Microsoft 365 admin center, follow these steps.

1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
2. In the left pane, select Settings > Integrated apps.
3. On Integrated apps, select Get Apps.
4. In the AppSource window, search for Finance.
5. In the search results, select Finance (Preview) in Microsoft 365 Copilot - Outlook, then select Get it now.
6. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, in the Configuration step, select the apps to deploy, then select Next.
7. In the Users step, select the users or groups that need access to the add-in, then select Next.
8. In the Deployment (Permissions) step, review the app permissions and capabilities in connection with Finance agents, select Accept permissions, then select Next.
9. In the Deployment (Finish) step, review the selected settings, then select Finish deployment.
10. When the deployment completes, select Done.

Note

Individual business users might have to wait up to six hours before Finance agents appear in their Outlook and Excel applications.

Install the Finance agents for Excel Add-in from the Microsoft 365 admin center

To install the Finance agents for Excel add-in from the Microsoft 365 admin center, follow these steps.

1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
2. In the left pane, select Settings > Integrated apps.
3. On Integrated apps, select Get Apps.
4. In the AppSource window, search for Finance.
5. In the search results, select Finance in Microsoft 365 Copilot, then select Get it now.
6. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, in the Configuration step, select the apps to deploy, then select Next.
7. In the Users step, select the users or groups that need access to the add-in, then select Next.
8. In the Deployment (Permissions) step, review the app permissions and capabilities in connection with Finance agents, select Accept permissions, then select Next.
9. In the Deployment (Finish) step, review the selected settings, then select Finish deployment.
10. When the deployment completes, select Done.

Note

Individual business users might have to wait up to six hours before the Finance add-in appears in their Outlook and Excel applications.

Manage the Finance agents app

After you install Finance agents as an integrated app, you can manage its configuration, add and remove users, and view information about its usage in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

1. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, select Settings > Integrated apps in the left pane.

2. On the Integrated apps page, select the application you want to manage: Finance in Microsoft 365 Copilot or Finance (Preview) in Microsoft 365 Copilot - Outlook

   The Finance pane appears. It has the following tabs:

   • Overview – This tab shows basic information about the add-in, deployed apps, and assigned users.
   • Configuration – On this tab, you can remove the app from a selected product. To remove the app, select it, then select Remove.
   • Users – On this tab, you can edit the users who can use the app.
   • Usage – This tab shows the number of active users of the app, based on the selected platform and date range.
