Access to your Learn Profile and associated credentials requires that you are able to sign in with at least one valid Microsoft Learn login account.
Microsoft Personal Login Account
If you lose access to the personal Microsoft account used to log in to your Microsoft Learn profile and have not added an alternate work or school account, this will result in a loss of access to your profile and any data it contains.
- If you have forgotten your Microsoft Learn username, read Forgotten your Microsoft account username.
- If you know your username and password but they have stopped working, read My username and password have stopped working.
- If you have forgotten your password and need to reset it, read Reset a forgotten Microsoft Account Password.
- You must sign in to your Microsoft account at least once in a two-year period to keep your Microsoft personal account active. However, if you have earned a Microsoft Certification, the aging out policy does not apply. For more details, visit the Microsoft Account Activity Policy.
If you are unable to reset your username or password for any reason, help is available only through the Microsoft Account Help self-service.
Microsoft Credentials Support cannot assist with recovery of personal Microsoft accounts and cannot transfer or restore the contents of a Learn profile you are unable to access.
Work or School Login Accounts
If you lose access to your work or school login account and have not added an alternate account to your learn profile, this will result in a loss of access to your profile and any data it contains. We strongly recommend adding a personal Microsoft account to ensure continued access to your profile regardless of employment or academic status.
Microsoft cannot assist with recovery of work or school accounts. Please work with your workplace or school IT administrator for account access issues.
For information about managing or securing your work or school account, visit "Work Or School Account Help".
