Applied Skills assessment lab accommodations

We’ve designed Applied Skills assessment labs to support candidates while maintaining our high standards.

What types of accommodations are available?

Screen reader availability

For those who need screen readers, you will have access to NVDA during the lab. When you launch the lab, you will need to log into the virtual machine. The password is on the Resources tab.

Once you are logged into the VM, you will be able to launch the NVDA screen reader. Instructions are provided after selecting the arrow next to NVDA Setup and Access (Screen Reader).

Extra time

For those who need additional time, you will be prompted to extend lab time in 15-minute increments, up to one hour, approximately 10 minutes before the lab time expires. If you need extra time, select Yes. This will give you a total of three hours to complete the assessment lab.

You do not have to request this additional time prior to starting the lab.
