We’ve designed Applied Skills assessment labs to support candidates while maintaining our high standards.
What types of accommodations are available?
Screen reader availability
For those who need screen readers, you will have access to NVDA during the lab. When you launch the lab, you will need to log into the virtual machine. Expand Step 1: Log into the virtual machine for the Username and Password.
Once you are logged into the VM, you will be able to launch the NVDA screen reader. Instructions are provided after selecting the arrow next to NVDA (Screen Reader) Setup & Access.

Expand the NVDA (Screen Reader) Setup & Access by selecting the arrow. Instructions will appear. Locate the NVDA icon on the desktop. Open NVDA.

After doing so, you’ll hear a chime and NVDA instructions.

Extra time
When there are less than 10 minutes remaining, you may extend the time through a pop-up window by clicking Yes. The amount of time you can extend the lab will vary depending on the lab. The time you can extend is noted in the pop-up window.
You do not have to request this additional time prior to starting the lab.
