RANDBETWEEN
Returns a random number in the range between two numbers you specify.
Syntax
RANDBETWEEN(<bottom>,<top>)
Parameters
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Bottom | The smallest integer the function will return. |
| Top | The largest integer the function will return. |
Return value
A whole number.
Remarks
This function is not supported for use in DirectQuery mode when used in calculated columns or row-level security (RLS) rules.
Example
The following formula returns a random number between 1 and 10.
= RANDBETWEEN(1,10)
