Remarks
The <xref:Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication.DistributionPublication.PubID%2A> property cannot be changed for an existing publication.
The <xref:Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication.DistributionPublication.PubID%2A> property can only be retrieved by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Distributor, by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the distribution database, or by users in the publication access list (PAL).
The <xref:Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication.DistributionPublication.PubID%2A> property can only be set by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the distribution database.
