Request specific items from an item placer for immediate use.
public void RequestCollectionItems(MixedReality.Toolkit.Data.IDataCollectionItemPlacer itemPlacer, int rangeStart, int rangeCount, object requestRef);
abstract member RequestCollectionItems : MixedReality.Toolkit.Data.IDataCollectionItemPlacer * int * int * obj -> unit
Public Sub RequestCollectionItems (itemPlacer As IDataCollectionItemPlacer, rangeStart As Integer, rangeCount As Integer, requestRef As Object)
Parameters
- itemPlacer
- IDataCollectionItemPlacer
The Item Placer making this request.
- rangeStart
- Int32
The zero-based start index of the range to retrieve.
- rangeCount
- Int32
The number of items to retrieve. If end of collection is reached, fewer items may be provided.
- requestRef
- Object
A request reference object that will be passed to the PlaceItem method.
Remarks
The individual items will be provided one at a time to PlaceItem(Object, Int32, String, GameObject) method of the calling itemPlacer. This allows data fetching and data presenting to occur in a pseudo parallel fashion.
This is used by an item placer to request only the subset of items in the collection that are currently relevant, usually those that are currently visible.
