The localized string for the ShortName property if the ResourceType property has been specified and if the ShortName property represents a resource key; otherwise, the non-localized value of the ShortName value property.

Exceptions

InvalidOperationException

Both the ResourceType property and ShortName properties were set, but a public static property with a name matching the ShortName value couldn't be found on the ResourceType.

Remarks

The short name is used as the grid column label for a UI element that is bound to the property that is annotated with this attribute. This property returns either the literal, non-localized string, or a localized string if ResourceType is not null.
