Exceptions

Examples

The following example creates an OleDbParameter and sets some of its properties.

C#
public void CreateOleDbParameter()
 {
    OleDbParameter parameter = new OleDbParameter("Description", OleDbType.VarChar, 88);
    parameter.Direction = ParameterDirection.Output;
 }

Remarks

If the ParameterDirection is output, and execution of the associated OleDbCommand does not return a value, the OleDbParameter contains a null value.

Output, InputOut, and ReturnValue parameters returned by calling ExecuteReader cannot be accessed until you call Close or Dispose on the OleDbDataReader.
