Mobile Apps for Microsoft Dynamics AX

The mobile connector and apps have been updated to support SAS instead of relying on ACS.

ACS to SAS solution for Dynamics 2012 is now complete and generally available. ACS is slated to be retired on Feb 4, 2019, assuming you’ve already asked for an extension (documented here).

The work for the final SAS-based solution to replace ACS for the mobile connector is now complete.

  • For anyone using Workflow Approvals via email (no app) see below

Steps are documented in the Workflow Approval via Email whitepaper. These steps apply to both R2 and R3.

The updated connector (8.2.384 or newer) is available for download from the mobile apps page or download the mobile app directly from this link.

  • For anyone using Timesheets, expense, or Approvals apps, you’ll need to confirm you have a machine with ADFS 3.0 available.

Dynamics AX (IOS) – Version 5.2​
Dynamics AX 2012 (Android) – Version 5.0
​​Note: The previous app (Dynamics AX) is not SAS compatible and will be removed from the store in February and should be replaced with the new app with 2012 in the name.
Dynamics AX 2012 Expenses (Windows desktop) – Version 2.19.0.13
Dynamics AX 201 2 Timesheets (Windows desktop) – Version 1.5.0.1
Dynamics AX 2012 Approvals (Windows desktop) – (available soon)

  • ​Windows Mobile app is being deprecated and will be removed from the store in February when ACS is decommissioned.​​

Downloads

Download and install version 2.384.0 or newer of the Microsoft Dynamics AX Connector for Mobile Applications​.

Note: As of September 7, 2018 we have only released support for EmailApprovalServices on SAS. The updated connector is not backwards compatible with ACS so do not update if you are using more than EmailApprovalServices.

Workflow Approval via Email

Enable users to view and approve workflow actions via email on any device. This new feature is a simple extension to existing workflow capability.
