Overview

The Microsoft Dynamics GP web client provides access to Microsoft Dynamics GP through the Internet Explorer web browser. The user experience and functionality provided by the Microsoft Dynamics GP web client closely matches the experience of using the Microsoft Dynamics GP desktop client.
No client application software is installed on the user’s local system. The Microsoft Dynamics GP application process for the user is running on a separate server. A Silverlight 5 application running inside the web browser on the user’s computer presents the application.

Installation Instructions

1. Download the Web Client service pack or hotfix below. If you already have Web Client installed, download the service pack or hotfix only. If you do not have Web Client installed, download the full install that includes the service pack or hotfix.
2. Log into the machine as a user that has Local Administrator privilege.
3. Open a command prompt by running it as Administrator
4. In the command prompt, change directories to the folder that contains the MSP.
5. Type in the name of the MSP and click Enter to run the MSP in the command prompt.
6. Once the upgrade actions are completed, launch the Dynamics GP Web Client Configuration Wizard from the Start Menu.

NOTE: If you have Tenant Services deployed, you will need to apply the latest update for it as well. Click HERE to download the service packs and hotfixes for Tenant Services.

On each client machine, you will need to:

  1. Open Internet Explorer, click Tools | Internet Options and click Delete under Browsing History to clear the Internet Explorer browser cache.
  2. Load the updated DynamicsGPTrustedApp.msi (for printing and exporting) by clicking on the lock icon in the Status Bar in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
