Historical Inventory Trial Balance Inventory Reset Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP
The Historical Inventory Trial Balance (HITB) report shows your inventory value as of a specific date or date range and the value of the five different quantity types. Download this tool if you would like to use the Historical Inventory Trial Balance report.
The Historical Inventory Trial Balance (HITB) report shows your inventory value as of a specific date or date range and the value of the five different quantity types. You can use this report to balance your inventory value with the appropriate accounts in General Ledger. The HITB report is available after you have completed the tasks under the Installation Notes section.
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 or later
If you are using Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0, verify that you are using Service Pack 2 or the latest patch release for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0. Click HERE to go to the latest patch release page.
Download and extract the appropriate HITB_IVReset tool.
Copy the IVReset.cnk file into the Microsoft Dynamics GP application folder. The default location is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP. The IVReset.cnk file only needs to be installed on one machine.
Launch Microsoft Dynamics GP and login with sa or DYNSA. Answer YES to include new code.
Run the HITBIvResetProcedures.sql script in Query Analyzer or the SQL Server Management Studio against all company databases to create the required stored procedures.

NOTE:
If you are using a named Dynamics database in your install, follow the steps below:
- Open the HITBIvResetProcedures.sql in SQL Server Management Studio
- Press Ctrl + H to open the Quick Replace
- In the Find What type Dynamics
- In the Replace With type the name of your named Dynamics db
- Click Replace All
- Use the update file to run against each of your company databases
