This document lists the Microsoft SQL Server 2014 features supported with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 R2 and later versions.

New Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Feature Supportability Additional Information
Data Alerts Supported Data Alerts require SQL Server Reporting Services to be deployed in SharePoint Mode

FileTable NA No additional features will be added to Microsoft Dynamics GP to take advantage of the FileTable functionality.

Columnstore Indexes NA No additional features will be added to Microsoft Dynamics GP to take advantage of the Columnstore Indexes functionality.
Contained Databases Supportability under investigation Microsoft Dynamics GP is dependent on consistent login information across the SQL Server instance, which is not guaranteed when this feature is used. This supportability of this feature is still under investigation.

Power View Supported The Power View features requires SharePoint Enterprise. No Power View reports will be provided out of the box, however, Customers can create their own Power View reports.

AlwaysOn Supportability under investigation The AlwaysOn feature requires the Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2012. This supportability of this feature is still under investigation.

SQL Server Developer Tools NA The SQL Server Developer Tools enhancements will provide value to developers building on the SQL Server platform. No changes will be made in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
