Business value

Breadcrumbs serve as secondary navigation within a website. They are typically used on category and product details pages to show the product or category hierarchy. For example, on a product page, when a user sees the full product category hierarchy, breadcrumbs allow the user to quickly navigate to a specific level of the category to find more products. In this way, it becomes an effective tool to discover more products and can help increase cross-sell opportunities for the retailer.

Feature details

The breadcrumb module will be available in the store's starter kit library. When doing a site build-out, the customer can add a breadcrumb module to any page. On a page that has category context, it can show the category hierarchy. On a page with no category context, the customer can add links to pages within the e-commerce site. This can be used as a discovery mechanism to find related pages.
