Install the Excel add-in for business performance planning

This article describes how to install the Microsoft Excel add-in for the business performance planning app.

Prerequisites

Before you can work with the Excel add-in, the following prerequisites must be in place:

• The business planning app is installed. For more information, see Install business performance planning.
• The dimensions and cubes have been created. For more information, see Business performance planning dimensions and Business performance planning cubes.
• Supported Web browser - Microsoft Edge.

Note

Updates for add-ins aren't delivered automatically. Click Install add-in tile on the homepage to get the latest update.

Install the Excel add-in

To install the Excel add-in for business performance planning, follow these steps.

1. Sign in to the business performance planning app.
2. On the home page, on the Plan in Excel tile, select Install add-in.
3. Accept the terms and conditions.
4. Select Download to open the add-in installer.
5. After the app is downloaded, select Install.

Delete the Excel add-in

If you must delete the Excel add-in, follow these steps.

1. On your computer, go to Add or Remove Programs.
2. Search for BusinessPerformanceExcelAddin.
3. Select the ellipsis (…), and then select Uninstall.
