Business value

Authors can share the top-level folder of a guide, which will cascade the permissions for the guide to content in that guide. This enables authors to distribute their guides to operators much faster, reducing “time to task,” and ensuring that all content is displayed properly without any permission issues for the operator.

Feature details

In the Guides model-driven app, each guide will be contained within a parent folder. All content added to the guide will be instanced and stored within this folder. An author can then specify the sharing permissions at the top-level folder without having to individually assign permissions to each of the content files. Any changes to the permissions at the top level will automatically cascade down to all content in the guide.
