It's important to meet your customers where they prefer. As the world changes toward a digital way of living, more and more customers prefer to be contacted via SMS. Even sellers find SMS as a convenient and effective channel to send reminders, provide quick updates, or respond to customer queries. This feature will allow organizations to bring their own custom provider to add and assign numbers to users for sending SMS as part of Dynamics 365 Sales workflows.

The key capabilities are:

  • Enabling support to configure custom providers as part of the SMS setup. This also includes support for configuration of Azure Communication Service as a provider.
  • Ability to add multiple numbers as part of a configured provider.
  • Assigning an added number to a user or a team.
