Viva Sales lets sellers save summarized interaction data rather than entire email threads, to ensure that the CRM system remains usable and to help sellers be more productive in their workflow.

Accurate data powers sales enablement managers who generate reports to understand pipelines and conversion rates.

Feature details

We're adding new capabilities, powered by GPT-3, to Viva Sales email intelligence features that allow users to save TL;DR (too long; didn't read) summaries of email interactions with customers to the relevant record in their CRM system (Dynamics 365 or Salesforce).

This feature is designed to make it easier for sellers to quickly reference key points from email conversations with customers. By saving summaries to the CRM system, sellers save time and context switching, as well as improve productivity. All relevant information is stored in CRM, making it easier for sellers to quickly recall those key points from previous email interactions and allowing other team members to pick up where the conversation left off, without having to sift through the full email transcripts.

The summary will be saved to the relevant record in the CRM system as a note object, with the title "Viva Sales Summary."

In upcoming releases, admins would be able to use the Viva Sales admin controls in Teams to configure whether the summary is saved in addition to full transcripts, or independently.
