Business value

Having a unified user interface and API for managing per-tenant extensions (PTEs) alongside AppSource apps makes it easier and faster for administrators to maintain extensions across different environments and tenants.

Feature details

This release introduces a feature that lets administrators manage PTEs using the Business Central admin center and its API, similar to managing AppSource apps. This feature saves time and effort because admins can manage PTEs across different environments and tenants without having to go to the client of each environment.

An admin center page shows all the PTEs installed in an environment. You can upload new PTEs or newer versions of existing ones. Install PTEs immediately, during the maintenance window, at the next minor update, or at the next major update. The page also lets you uninstall PTEs.
