Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 21053 Release Notes


Service Update 21053 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.2.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 21053.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Service Update 21053 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • When linking a contact to a chat within a case entity, the color contrast ratio setting of the linked contact completion symbol did not meet the required WCAG 2.1 standard of 3:1.
  • NVDA screen reader announced row labels in the incorrect order when using keyboard navigation.
  • When looking up a non-existent record, the “Didn’t fine match” message was not announced via the NVDA screen reader.
  • When using keyboard navigation and selecting a filter option with the ‘Enter’ key, focus moved to the first row of the grid.
  • When selecting the "Select multiple records to perform bulk action" button, the accessibility screen reader did not announce the check box selection status for each option.
  • When using keyboard navigation and selecting the "clear" filter option, focus was applied to the main body of the text content, rather than, the next available option.

Platform Services

  • When creating a new record within a custom entity, the lookup menu did not contain a name label in the Unified Interface.*
  • New entity records were not counted when using the 'RetrieveTotalRecordCount' function.

Sales

  • Word templates could not be opened on mobile if they were added to the timeline using a workflow that included a ‘SetWordTemplate’ perform action.
  • The chat icon in the Sales Hub ribbon was the incorrect icon.*

Solutions

  • Copies of attached inline images in an email record would fail to load.*

Unified Interface

  • When a form field was set as required in single stage within a business process flow, the same field becomes required in all stages.
  • Copies of attached inline images in an email record would fail to load within Timeline.
  • The rich text editor control did not load after converting a knowledge article form from read-only mode to edit mode, when the rich text editor control was open in a different tab.
  • When creating a new email template within Service Management, the entitlement was not present in the category value.
  • On iOS, when viewing a PDF attachment on Microsoft Edge: Web Browser, an empty page was displayed.
  • When navigating to a new Tab in an Opportunity form, the component control button in a self-referential field was labeled as "Label Text."
  • In the Field Service mobile app, while in offline mode, after navigating away from the service tab and returning to the service tab, the “+ New” commands in each sub-grid were not displayed and sub-grids displayed a “data not available” message.
  • When modifying a saved filter, the accessibility screen reader did not announce the filter criteria.*
  • When zoom was set to 250%+ on the Advance Find page, the focus border around the “Only my records” checkbox was not fully visible.
  • When performing a search within a grid and collapsing the filter pane, the grid size did not fit the height of the page.
  • Batch edits on large pages with an editable grid with 250 or more rows per page may have caused the browser to be come unresponsive.*
  • When sorting activities in the timeline of an account entity, duplicate activities were present after selecting the "load more" option.
  • When creating a new record on a branching business process flow (BPF) within an account entity, only the first BPF stage was active.
  • In the Customer Service Hub, when using keyboard navigation, focus could not reach active cases table grid call checkboxes.*
  • When switching between apps in offline mode on mobile devices, the sitemap was not visible.
  • When using keyboard navigation to open the advance lookup page, focus was applied to options outside of the lookup page.
  • When creating a phone activity and selecting the close activity command button, the "Close" button was labeled as "Button_Label_CloseActivity."
  • When selecting the weekly occurrence option while creating an appointment, the days of the week overlapped within the Recurrence dialog box.*

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Outlook

  • An error occurred when loading the contact tracking module in Outlook.

Solutions

  • An error occurred when linking or unlinking a Knowledge Article to a case entity.*

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred when attempting to update expenses in a Project Service record.*
  • An error occurred when creating a new event within the Marketing App.*
  • An error occurred when selecting the regarding field in an email record, within relevance search results.
  • A search result error occurred when opening the advance lookup dialog and changing to a view with no record, without conducting a search.
  • An error occurred when 'OpportunitySalesProcess' was present while qualifying a lead record in a business process flow.
  • An error occurred when uninstalling a solution that contained a web resource.
  • An error occurred when deleting a web resource from a grid within a solution.
