Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 237 Release Notes


Service Update 237 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 237.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.</>

Accessibility

  • Screen reader had read the “Create New Record” button as “Quick Create Menu.”
  • Talkback had announced the “More options” type control as “Graphic.”
  • When adding multiple attachments to an email, focus was not applied to the attachments if high contrast white/black mode was enabled.
  • In the Customer Service Hub, focus was not applied to the "change view" button when using swipe commands to access the "assign to others" lookup menu.*
  • The screen reader did not narrate the 'Record Type', 'Field Name', 'Default Text' options when adding a data field to an email template.
  • UI options appeared on both the left and right side of the page and overlapped page elements within an account grid on mobile, when set to the Arabic language.*
  • Improved the user experience for users using languages that read right to left.*
  • An error occurred when attempting to access Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement through the Edge legacy browser.*
  • The accessibility screen reader did not apply focus to the details section in an email template.*
  • In the Customer Service Hub, the accessibility screen reader announced an interactive option description for a non-interactive filter section.*
  • When navigating through email templates using keyboard navigation and selecting the "show as" button, the template grid could not be accessed.
  • In the Customer Service Hub, the accessibility screen reader announced an incorrect description for the "Permission Level" section.
  • When creating a new case, the accessibility screen reader did not narrate the instructions for the 'Find Customer' and 'Find Contact' options.

Knowledge Management

  • When opening an Announcement, making no modifications and navigating away, the user interface displayed a pop up warning about the loss of unsaved changes.

Platform Services

  • The Teams integration feature was not applied to reserved entities during a solution install.*
  • When creating a workflow and assigning it to an owner, the new owner was not was applied and the workflow creator was listed as the owner.*
  • The “Insert Knowledge Article” button was not displayed when creating a new email.*
  • When performing API queries using aliased attributes, some results would be missing.*

Sales

  • Filter dropdowns in the activities tab had a black background causing text to be unreadable.*
  • When creating a new email and selecting send, the email message remained in a processing state.*
  • Timeline elements did not display when attempting to create a new email.

Solutions

  • When selecting the preview option for an image attachment in an email, the image was downloaded and the preview was not loaded.
  • The Insert/Remove command for bulleted and numbered list was not working when editing an appointment description.*
  • When customizing an email template and saving, the user interface did not reflect the saved modifications.*
  • The “Convert” and “Cancel” buttons did not display in the "Convert to Opportunity" pop-up when creating an Activity record.*
  • The Service Level Agreement (SLA) timer within a new record was intermittently visible.

Unified Interface

  • When deleting a record in offline mode, it remained in a processing state and was not removed.
  • When selecting a record with a primary attribute/record name, it had displayed as “(no name)" within lookup fields forms.*
  • When using keyboard shortcuts to download log files with App Checker, the download was not initiated in the Edge browser.
  • The Activity Description field displayed HTML tags within a Queue grid when published.
  • When modifying the start time in Chrome and Edge browsers, the date and time values reverted to the previous value when the characters were not accepted.
  • When applying a filter to a record search, the resulting dataset records did not reflect the selected criteria.
  • When creating a new entity that includes a function for confirmation dialogs, the content of the “Yes and “ Cancel buttons were truncated.
  • When creating a new record within the 'AllControls' entity for an app, variable values could not be selected or updated.
  • When creating a new record within the ' AllFieldCustomEnt' entity for an app, variable values could not be selected or updated.
  • Multi-select option fields did not display a text box when added in contact/lead entities.
  • JPG and PNG icons were not displayed for custom entities on the sitemap.*
  • When adding columns to the Advanced Find filter, text typed in the search column was delayed by few seconds before appearing.
  • On mobile devices in offline mode, the user interface did not allow the scroll bar to scroll to the bottom of any entity form.
  • When using keyboard navigation, individual Business Management features were separated into four focus areas.
  • When discarding recent changes within a Business Process Flow (BPF), the user interface removed content from the required form fields.
  • In Field Service, when selecting the Month view in the Bookings tab, the user interface displayed a blank page.
  • When using the knowledge search within a case, the user interface displayed the incorrect title in the browser tab.
  • Importing datasets from Excel with errors in data may have caused the import to fail.*
  • On mobile devices, scroll bar navigation did not move in a consistent manner, in line with the user action, when scrolling through a bookable resource.*
  • Extra spaces and line breaks were incorrectly appearing in email templates.*
  • Default email signatures were missing intermittently.*
  • On Android devices, the user interface was unresponsive when using the "Select" and "Sort" buttons in the Unified Interface.*
  • The "Select" and "Sort" buttons in a grid page did not respond on mobile.*
  • The user interface was unresponsive when closing an app in offline mode.*
  • Business Process Flow (BPF) was not visible on an account record within the "CrossEntityNavigationApp" while navigating between stages of the BPF.*
  • When modifying an entity grid, filter settings were not applied to columns in the 'AllFieldCustEnt' entity.*
  • Stage progression did not occur when creating a Business Process Flow (BPF) with missing required fields on a non-active stage.*
  • The user interface displayed inconsistent spacing between the bullets within an unordered list.
  • When organization settings were set to start on a day, other than Sunday, those changes were not honored when selecting from the date picker.*
  • On Android devices, the user interface was unresponsive when selecting buttons in the Unified Interface.*
  • Users without read privileges for email signature entities were unable to perform Reply/ReplyAll/Forward actions.*
  • The “Send Direct Email” button had not displayed on the Ribbon when attempting to send a record.*

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when attempting to import a solution with a declared CustomAPI and a reference to it by name in an SdkMessageProcessingStep in same solution.*
  • An error occurred when navigating to the "Auto posts" tab.
  • An error occurred when updating an appointment record when the 'isAllDayEvent' attribute was present.*
  • An error occurred when selecting the "find available trains" option in the schedule manager.

Unified Interface

  • An error had occurred when attempting to refresh on a custom page.
  • An error occurred when navigating to a record home page and modifying an editable grid.*
  • An error occurred when selecting team membershiptypes when creating a new team.*
  • An error containing unclear message dialog occurred when performing actions in offline and online mode.*
  • An error occurred when navigating to a form page in the Unified Interface.*
  • An error occurred when selecting a file without an extension for download.*
  • An error occurred when selecting a chart in the Dashboard.
  • An error occurred when performing a solution upgrade that did not include the SettingDefinition entity.*
  • When selecting links within the "required fields missing" error message, the mouse cursor did not redirect to required form fields located in separate tabs.*
  • An error occurred when an app entered an idle state after no action was performed in the Unified Interface.*
  • An error occurred when creating or modifying a record within an opportunity entity.*
