Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 270 Release Notes


Service Update 270 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 270.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

To determine whether your organization had this update applied, check your Microsoft Dynamics 365 version number. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, and then click About.

An (*) at the end of a fix statement denotes that this repair item was incorporated into multiple service update releases.

Service Update 270 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • When creating a new activity in a case entity, focus was not applied to the "only my record" checkbox option.
  • When using “Caps + Arrow” keys, narrator had not announced the header name.
  • The Screen reader did not announce property names that were provided to control “Excel” and “Delete” icons.*
  • When modifying settings, the Excel icon, Delete, More Action, Filter, Refresh and file buttons were labeled as a link instead of a button. This impacted how the screen reader understood the function of the control.
  • When modifying multiple contact records, the "select date" option was labeled as an image instead of a button.*
  • In the Customer Service Hub, focus was not applied to the column headers within the Audit history dataset.
  • While modifying a Quick Create form in an opportunity entity, the accessibility screen reader announced form options when focus was not applied to them.
  • When modifying Advanced settings and navigating using the Tab key, keyboard focus was not applied to the "select" combo box.
  • The Background Process data table did not contain the correct color contrast ratio settings.
  • When creating a new Dashboard, the screen reader did not announce that the "name" form field was required.
  • The accessibility screen reader announced some options incorrectly within the Real Time Processes dropdown menu.*
  • Keyboard navigation focus did not move in a logical order when navigating with Tab.
  • When navigating using Tab, keyboard focus had moved onto non-interactive content.
  • The color contrast ration in the “Look in” and “Search” labels had been less than 4.5:1.
  • The accessibility screenreader did not announce the heading level for the business management heading when navigating using the Caps Lock and Arrow keys.
  • The tooltip title did not display when hovering over the “Email Template” title.
  • In the Customer Service Hub, the File and Advanced Find tabs were described as links by the accessibility screen reader.
  • When sorting an account or contact entity within an industry drop down menu, the background contrast ratio settings were incorrect.
  • When modifying settings, the "Interactive Service Hub" was labeled as a link instead of a button.
  • When typing in a default text box within a form, the cursor automatically moved to the end of the text.

Platform Services

  • When zoom settings were set to 400% in the Customer Service Hub, the user interface did not display the security role section.
  • When creating an entity using the reserve entity feature, the Tabular Data Stream (TDS) views were not updated.*
  • When creating an email with an attachment, the attachment was not synchronized with Exchange.*
  • Failures occurred when performing solution imports.*
  • The ‘From’ and ‘To’ field values were not visible, intermittently, within an activities view.*
  • No results where displayed when checking access for a user.
  • When creating a new work order, the user interface experienced slow performance and extended loading times.*
  • When an email recipient was not listed in Outlook, the sender was listed in the "To" field.*

Sales

  • The duplicate detection dialog box contained blank fields even when data was present.
  • The Data Map name, when importing data, was not ordered by any logic in UCI.*

Solutions

  • When customizing an email template and saving, the user interface did not reflect the saved modifications.

Unified Client

  • When Japanese language settings are enabled, the text content overlapped with the ribbon menu.*
  • The search flyout in the header would drop down randomly when entering data in a form.*
  • Newly created browser tabs from Customer Service workspace were not auto-focusing upon creation.*
  • When high contrast (B&W) mode was enabled, focus was not visible on list items present the duration dropdown of a service activity.*
  • List items within the duration combo box could not be selected when using keyboard navigation.*
  • When modifying a currency amount with specific decimal place values, an incorrect decimal place and number was reflected.
  • New information was not reflected within a subgrid until the grid was refreshed manually.*
  • Email Templates and Signatures were not added to drafted Emails.
  • On Android, when adding a new note within a Booking Entity while in offline mode, only the title box for the note was present.*
  • After clearing a filter on a form, the filter remained.
  • When using the app in offline mode, newly added entities did not sync.
  • When two Quick Forms were within a single form, both Quick Forms shared identical labels which prevented automated expansion of multi-line text fields.
  • Focus was not applied to the "skip to main content" link and it was not announced by the accessibility narrator.
  • When opening an additional form, the save form used the key performance indicator for the timeline.*
  • When viewing a contact list, the navigation bar was not present at the bottom of the list.
  • On the Offline status page, if page data exceeded the size of the page, the page background would be missing past the initial page height when scrolling.
  • In the Customer Service Hub, the File and Advanced Find tabs were described as links by the accessibility screen reader.
  • 'Select All' could not be activated within Sales Hub when Narrator was on.*
  • Work orders could not be viewed or scheduled when using RTL language.*
  • On mobile, the service tab was not loading within a Booking Entity while online.*
  • On iOS, when selecting the phone field in an offline app, focus did not move to the phone field and the keyboard was unresponsive.*
  • When creating a Quick Form and receiving a required form field notification, focus could not be applied to the empty required field.
  • Multiple tables were used for a dataset within the recently viewed items section in the Customer Service Hub.
  • The form availability settings were overwritten when importing a solution within an opportunity entity.

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when importing a solution containing an existing web resource.
  • An error occurred when creating a "Promotion Campaign" record that contained English language characters.*
  • An error occurred when importing a custom solution.*
  • An error occurred when transitioning an unmanaged to a managed solution during a solution upgrade.*
  • An error occurred when additional components were added during a solution package upgrade.*
  • An error occurred when importing a solution containing custom xml without a display name for a required component.
  • An error occurred when a value was deleted and a new value containing the same definition was created.

Sales

  • An error occurred when modifying an imported excel file and leaving a form field blank.

Unified Client

  • An error had occurred when attempting to search a list of Customer Assets through Lookup, on mobile.
  • An error occurred when enabling the Microsoft teams integration.*
  • An error occurred when attempting to create appointments and recurring appointments.
  • An error occurred when creating a new event within the Marketing App.*
  • An error occurred when creating a new email or task in the Unified Interface.
  • An error had occurred when attempting to update a portal solution.*
  • An error occurred when creating a new booking entity with a business process flow (BPF).*
  • An error occurred when modifying a required date field in a form.*
  • An error occurred when selecting the "view activity monitor" button within the service management section in the Customer Service hub.
