Click Retail > Periodic > Mass update worksheet. In the Mass update worksheet form, on the Products FastTab, click Apply price formula or Apply date formula.

Use this form to set product price or date values for multiple products at the same time. You can select an existing value, and then apply a mathematical formula that automatically calculates and updates the product price or date. For example, to reduce the sales price of all the products that you have added to the Products FastTab by 50 percent, create and apply the formula purchase price * .50.

Description

Set the value in the selected column to:

Select the price or date field to use to calculate the formula, select an operator symbol, and then enter the value to use in the calculation.

For example, to reduce the price of a set of clearance products by an additional 10 percent, enter the following values:

  • Field: Sales price

  • Operator: *

  • Value: .10

Do not round calculated value

Select this option to apply the calculated value to the value in the selected field without applying any rounding rules.

This option applies only to price fields.

Round calculated value

Select this option to apply the calculated value to the value in the selected field. Rounding rules are applied, based on the value that you select in the Rounding group : field.

This option applies only to price fields.

Rounding group :

Select a rounding group to use to calculate the rounded amount that is applied to the field that you specified in the formula.

This field applies only to price fields. For more information about how to set up rounding groups, see Smart rounding (form).

Apply the formula to this row only

Select this option to apply the calculated price or date to the field in the row that was selected on the Products FastTab of the Mass update worksheet form when you clicked Apply price formula or Apply date formula.

Apply the formula to all rows

Select this option to apply the formula to all rows on the Products FastTab of the Mass update worksheet form that contain the field that you specified in the formula.
