Group attributes (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Inventory management > Setup > Batch attributes > Batch attribute groups. Select the batch attribute group, and then click the Group attributes button at the top of the form.

Use this form to view, add, and maintain batch attributes for a batch attribute group. Batch attribute groups let you assign multiple attributes to an inventory batch in one process, instead of having to add each attribute individually. However, the attribute values must be the same for all items in the group. For example, if the pH attribute value for the group is between 6.8 and 7.0, then the pH value for each item in the group must be within this range.

Tolerance action

View or select the action to take when an Integer or Fraction attribute value falls outside the specified minimum and maximum range. The tolerance actions are as follows:

  • Warning ─ Issues a warning if an attribute does not fall in the minimum and maximum range, or if the increment is not valid. This action lets you process your input.

  • Not allowed ─ Issues an error to alert you of an invalid entry. Your input is rejected.
