Transaction (form)

Depending on your version of the program, do one of the following:

  • In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. Select a project, and then in the Action Pane, in the Maintain group, click Edit. In the Projects form, on the Revenue recognition FastTab, right-click the Estimate project ID field, and then click View details on the shortcut menu. In the Estimate projects form, in the Related information group, click Estimates. In the Estimate form, select an estimate line, and then click the Edit button. In the menu bar, click Actual, and then click Estimate or Accumulated.

  • Otherwise: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Estimate projects. On the Action Pane, in the Related information group, click Estimates. In the Estimate form, select an estimate line, and then click the Edit button. In the menu bar, click Actual, and then click Estimate or Accumulated.

Use this form to view transactions that are entered on the current cost line.

View primary details about the selected transaction.

General tab

View detailed information on each transaction. You can check which worker entered the transaction and the project date.

Financial dimensions

View information about financial dimensions, such as the default dimensions and where the dimensions are used in account structures and advanced rule structures.

Cost price

View details about the cost price for the selected transaction.

Project date

The date when the transaction was entered on the project.

Estimate project

The project ID of the current project.

Activity number

The ID for the project activity.

Category

The category selected when the transaction was entered in a journal.

Worker

The worker who entered the transaction.

Line property

The status that the transaction is attached to.

Transaction type

The cost type.

Transaction ID

The ID for the transaction.

Transaction voucher

The voucher number in the ledger.

Description

The text describing the transaction.

Transaction origin

The location where the transaction was created.

Quantity

The number of units that make up the transaction.

Cost price

The cost price per unit in the accounting currency.

Cost amount

The cost value of the units that make up the transaction.

Ledger status

The required location in the ledger: pending, balance sheet, or profit and loss.

Estimate date

The start date of the period.

Start time

The start time that is attached to the timesheet.

End time

The end time that is attached to the timesheet.

Default financial dimensions

The default financial dimensions for the main account. When you select a financial dimension value, the Where the %1 dimension is used field group displays where the dimension is used in account structures and advanced rule structures.

Where the %1 dimension is used

The account structures and advanced rule structures that use the financial dimensions that you selected in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group.

Note

The name of the field depends on the selection in the Financial dimensions or Default financial dimensions field group.
