Action Pane Buttons

To work with Microsoft Dynamics AX list page data records, click the action pane button that represents the task or operation that you want to perform. To add a new task or operation to a list page, you must add an action pane button to that list page's action pane.

You can use action pane buttons to perform the following types of actions:

  • Execute a Microsoft Dynamics AX command.

  • Open a form in a new window.

  • Execute custom code.

  • Display a drop-down menu.
