Menus Overview

There are four menus that are automatically generated in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012:

• The Microsoft Dynamics AX  File menu

• The Windows menu

• The View menu

• The Help menu

File menu

The Microsoft Dynamics AX  File menu is located in the upper-left area of the application window. This menu contains general commands for the application.

The Microsoft Dynamics AX  File menu has the following submenus:

• Edit submenu

  

• Print submenu

  

• View submenu

  

• Favorites submenu

  

• Tools submenu

  

Windows menu

The Windows menu is displayed in the upper-right corner of the application window. This menu contains commands that help the user manage the application workspace and windows.

View menu

The View menu is on the right side of the Windows menu in the upper-right corner of the application window. This menu contains all the functions that help the user personalize the layout of the application, for example, viewing the Favorites pane. This is the same menu as the File menu > View submenu.

Help menu

The Help menu is on the right side of the View menu in the upper-right corner of the application window. This menu contains all the Help functions and has the same content on all pages.
