Known issue - Azure map zooms out automatically even with auto zoom turned off

You can add a reference layer to an Azure map. You can turn the auto zoom off for the reference layer. In the Power BI Service, the Azure Map automatically zooms out.

Symptoms

Azure Map automatically zooms out in the Power BI Service. The zoom out occurs even if auto zoom is turned off when adding a reference layer.

Solutions and workarounds

For a temporary solution, you can enable Auto Zoom and Include reference layer to ensure the map visual focuses on the reference layer shapes.
