Delete a registered device.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. The calling user must also be in one of the following Microsoft Entra roles: Intune Administrator, Windows 365 Administrator, or Cloud Device Administrator.

HTTP request

You can address the device using either its id or deviceId.

DELETE /devices/{id}
DELETE /devices(deviceId='{deviceId}')

Request headers

Name	Description
Authorization	Bearer {token}. Required. Learn more about authentication and authorization.

Request body

Don't supply a request body for this method.

Response

If successful, this method returns 204 No Content response code. It doesn't return anything in the response body.
