driveItem: checkin

Namespace: microsoft.graph

Check in a checked out driveItem resource, which makes the version of the document available to others.

This API is available in the following national cloud deployments.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. For details about delegated and application permissions, see Permission types. To learn more about these permissions, see the permissions reference.

Note

SharePoint Embedded requires the FileStorageContainer.Selected permission to access the content of the container. This permission is different from the ones mentioned previously. In addition to Microsoft Graph permissions, your app must have the necessary container type permissions to call this API. For more information, see SharePoint Embedded authentication and authorization.

Content-Type application/json. Required.

Request body

In the request body, provide a JSON object with the following parameters.

checkInAs string Optional. The status of the document after the check-in operation is complete. Can be published or unspecified.
comment string A check-in comment that is associated with the version.

Response

If successful, the API call returns 204 No content.

This example checks in a file identified by {item-id}.
