Update the properties of a case object.

This API is supported in the following national cloud deployments.

Permissions

One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Permissions.

Request headers

Name Description
Authorization Bearer {token}. Required.

Request body

In the request body, supply the values for relevant fields that should be updated. Existing properties that are not included in the request body will maintain their previous values or be recalculated based on changes to other property values. For best performance, don't include existing values that haven't changed.

description String The case description.
displayName String The case name.
externalId String The external case number for customer reference.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and an updated microsoft.graph.ediscovery.case object in the response body.
