Assign a homeRealmDiscoveryPolicy to a servicePrincipal.

One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Permissions.

HTTP request

You can address the service principal using either its id or appId. id and appId are referred to as the Object ID and Application (Client) ID, respectively, in app registrations in the Microsoft Entra admin center.

Request body

In the request body, supply the identifier of the homeRealmDiscoveryPolicy object (using an property) that should be assigned to the service principal.


If successful, this method returns a 204 No Content response code. It doesn't return anything in the response body.
