List members of team

Namespace: microsoft.graph

Get the conversationMember collection of a team.

Note

The membership IDs returned by the server must be treated as opaque strings. The client should not try to parse or make any assumptions about these resource IDs.

The membership results could map to users from different tenants, as indicated in the response, in the future. The client should not assume that all members are from the current tenant only.

Permissions

One of the following permissions is required to call this API. To learn more, including how to choose permissions, see Permissions.

Permission type Permissions (from least to most privileged)
Delegated (work or school account) TeamMember.Read.All, TeamMember.ReadWrite.All
Delegated (personal Microsoft account) Not supported.
Application TeamMember.Read.Group*, TeamMember.Read.All, TeamMember.ReadWrite.All

Note: Permissions marked with * use resource-specific consent.

HTTP request

GET /teams/{team-id}/members

Optional query parameters

This method supports the $filter and $select OData query parameters to help customize the response.

Request headers

Name Description
Authorization Bearer {token}. Required.

Request body

Do not supply a request body for this method.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and a collection of conversationMember objects in the response body.

For new tenants, a JIT provisioning error will cause a 401 error for first-party apps using Microsoft Graph advanced Azure AD query capabilities (Mezzo). First-party apps require the provisioning of a service principal on the target tenant when the first request arrives, but advanced query endpoints are read-only, so provisioning cannot happen (advanced query endpoints are defined by the ConsistencyLevel=eventual header + $count or $search query arguments). As a workaround, call Azure AD Graph or another Microsoft Graph endpoint (for example, /users?$top=1). This takes care of the provisioning. This is an issue with Azure AD and will occur once per tenant for a given app. The following example shows the pattern to use.
