Business value

The Microsoft Fabric Data Factory data ingestion-based model shifts power to the users by allowing for scalability, increased autonomy, and diversity in data source integrations. Azure Data Manager for Agriculture's (ADMA) previous architecture had connectors embedded in the service, limiting the potential for scalability given the increasing number of unique connectors required in the digital agriculture space.

Feature details

Azure Data Manager for Agriculture is adapting the data ingestion capabilities to enhancements made available within Microsoft Fabric Data Factory. With this new model, we empower partners, providers, and citizen developers to create and publish their connector logic using Azure Data Factory. This model not only adds to the value proposition of ADMA but also substantially reduces the build and maintenance burden on the product team, enabling a more scalable and efficient system.
