Sovereign Landing Zone (SLZ)
The Sovereign Landing Zone is an opinionated variant of the Azure Landing Zone that provides an enterprise scale cloud infrastructure focused on operational control of data at rest, in transit, and in use. SLZ focuses on service location management, customer managed keys, and confidential computing to create a cloud architecture that enhances workload security.
The SLZ brings together enterprise scale cloud architecture, policies, and compliance reports to create a platform for secure deployment of workloads. For more information, see Sovereign Guardrails – Sovereign Landing Zone
Confidential computing on Azure
Confidential computing is an industry term defined by the Confidential Computing Consortium (CCC) - a foundation dedicated to defining and accelerating the adoption of confidential computing. The CCC defines confidential computing as the protection of data in use by performing computations in a hardware-based Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).
ACC (Azure confidential computing) protects and encrypts memory in use and minimizes the need to trust system processes (like host OS and hypervisor) and human operators like host admin or VM admin.
You can find a list of Azure Confidential Compute offerings at Confidential Computing on Azure. For more information, see Azure Confidential Computing.
