This article provides definitions for the emission measures that are available in the azure_emissions table and emissions_summary table in the Azure emissions insights capability.
DateKey: Date and month of emission computation
Enrollment Number: The enrollment ID or billing ID of the EA Direct, MCA, or MPA account to which you have administrator privileges.
Subscription ID and Subscription Name: ID and name of the subscription associated with the enrollment/billing ID.
Meter GUID: Unique identifier of the meter associated with the measurement of the usage of the corresponding Azure resource.
Azure Region: Region where the Azure resource was deployed while creating the workload.
Metered Service: Provides details of the resource/service type. For example: Compute, Network, Storage.
Service Category: Provides details on the category of the Azure resource. For example: Ingress, Egress, Storage.
Resource Group: Contains the Azure resource group name to which the resource belongs.
Total Usage: Normalized cost metric associated with all Azure service types excluding discounts and other variables.
Version: Identifier for the versioning of the data in the table.
Resource Name: Provided name of the resource in the subscription.
Batch ID: Internal identification for the emissions computation batch.
Scope 1 Carbon Emission: Direct greenhouse gas emissions from onsite fuel combustion (generators, vehicle fleet).
Scope 2 Market Carbon Emission: Indirect greenhouse gas emissions such as emissions from electricity providers offset by renewable energy purchases.
Scope 3 Carbon Emission: Other indirect greenhouse gas emissions from the value chain.
