Lifecycle data export guidance

This document describes how to use the product export file.

Query Information

In the Excel document, there are fields to help identify the data populated in the product table.

The end of support value will filter products by either the product end of support date or its release end dates.

Possible values: All (no filter applied), Year, and a Range.

The family value filters products by its parent level within the hierarchy known as the family.

Possible values: All (no filter applied), Family Name

The group value filters products within its parent level (family) to a specific group.

Possible values: All (no filter applied), Group Name

The product table consists of columns defining the product, editions, releases, and corresponding support dates.

Note

There will be a row for each product, edition, and release combination.

The product name.

The edition column will be populated when the product contains editions. When there is no product edition, this field will be blank.

The release column will be populated when the product contains multiple releases. When the product only has one release, this field will be blank.

This field defines which support policy the product follows.

Possible values: Fixed, Modern, Component

Date support started for product.

When Support Policy is Fixed or Component, this is the date the product's mainstream end date.

When Support Policy is Modern, this will be blank.

When Support Policy is Fixed or Component, this is the date the product's extended end date.

When Support Policy is Modern, this will be blank.

When Support Policy is Fixed or Component, this will be blank.

When Support Policy is Modern, this will be the product's retirement date.

Date support started for the release. When the product only has one release, this field will be blank.

Date support ended for the release. When the product only has one release, this field will be blank.
