LinkedIn’s Advertiser Transparency API enables advertisers based in the European Economic Area or Switzerland to carry out verification of their LinkedIn advertisements inventory, through their verification vendor.

Do I need a Developer account to apply for the Advertiser Transparency API?

As a developer, how can I apply for access to the Advertiser Transparency API?
- First, please ensure you meet all the qualifying criteria before filing a ticket.
- If you meet the criteria, please file a Zendesk ticket here.
- When filling the form, please select Advertiser Transparency API from the Inquiry dropdown and specify that you are requesting access to the Advertiser Transparency API in the subject field.
How far back does the access to data go?
Most data will include the previous 6 months, where the earliest available data will be March 6, 2024. The only exception is for viewability data for display ads.
How long will we have access to the Advertiser Transparency API?
Access to the API is permanent unless your account becomes dormant for more than 180 days. LinkedIn regularly reviews API access and may revoke access at any time.
How long will we have access to advertiser data?
Advertiser data will be available for 60 days through an access token that can be refreshed multiple times up to a year from the date access was granted.
Why was my application for access to the Advertiser Transparency API rejected?

Once I have been granted access to the Advertiser Transparency API, how do I access advertiser data?
Once you have been approved to access the API, you can request permission from the advertiser to access their account data. You can follow this guide to do so
The advertiser mistakenly declined my request, can I re-request access to their data?
Yes, you can send a new request to the advertiser for authentication.
I think I am missing data. How can I obtain additional data?
You can request additional data by filing a new Zendesk ticket here. Please ensure to specify Advertiser Transparency API from the Inquiry dropdown.
Can advertisers revoke developer access to their data?
Yes, advertisers can revoke developer access to their data from the Data Privacy settings in their LinkedIn account. Steps are User Account -> Me -> Settings & Privacy -> Data Privacy -> Other applications -> Permitted services -> Remove the 3P developer app.
As a third party, how can we stop accessing an advertiser’s data?
You can ask the advertiser to revoke access via the steps above or you can delete the advertiser’s access/refresh token.
I am facing issues in accessing/retrieving data from the Advertiser Transparency API (i.e. request timing out, errors in response, receiving unexpected response, etc). What can I do?
Please file a Zendesk ticket here. Please specify Advertiser Transparency API from the Inquiry dropdown and include the issue you are experiencing, including any relevant screenshots.
I made a mistake on my application, what should I do?
Please resubmit the form with the correct information. Form resubmission should only happen when a mistake has been made. Resubmitting the form in all other instances will delay the process.
Why can’t my preferred third party get access to the data?
We only work with qualified third parties who are accredited by industry standards- please see qualifying criteria here.
Why can’t I get access to an advertiser’s data? I’m managing their ad campaigns outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland but their campaigns were targeting audiences in EU/EEA/Switzerland?
At this time, only business users located in the EU/EEA/Switzerland (as determined by advertiser location through LinkedIn Marketing Solutions billing services) can work with their verification partners to utilize this functionality.
