What is Forecast API?

The Forecast API uses a set of forecasting models to predict case and conversation volumes based on historical data. The models use an ensemble forecasting method with seasonality support (automatic detection or custom settings) to enhance the quality of forecasting.

You can use the Forecast API in the following ways:

  • Forecast upcoming case and conversation volumes based on historical traffic data.

  • Visualize forecast volumes on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly interval basis, for a time range up to six months.

  • Filter and analyze subsets of forecasted volumes to fine-tune forecasts.

  • Automatically detect and adjust repeated seasonal events/holiday from historical traffic with an option to import your service calendar. This helps the forecasting model to accurately predict volume during special or seasonal events.
