If you're an existing customer, you must wait until your annual purchase commitment ends to change plans. However, you can buy more Copilot Business licenses at any time.

If I qualify for Copilot Business, will my existing Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses automatically convert to Copilot Business licenses at renewal?

No. If you're an existing customer, you won't be automatically switched over and you must fulfill your current Microsoft 365 Copilot commitment.

What commitment terms and billing options are available for Copilot Business?

Copilot Business plans are available as an annual commitment with either monthly or annual billing; there's no month-to-month purchasing agreement for the Copilot Business plans.

If I have a Microsoft 365 for business plan without Teams, can I buy the new Copilot Business add-on?

Yes. Copilot Business can be added to any Microsoft 365 for business plan, including those plans without Teams.

If I have a Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium plan and the Copilot Business add-on, can I upgrade to an Enterprise plan?

No. You can't upgrade to an Enterprise plan from a Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium plan with Copilot Business. You must wait until your commitment end date to move to an Enterprise plan.

Is Shared Computer Activation (SCA) supported for Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses?

Yes. Shared Computer Activation (SCA) is fully supported for Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses. No special configuration, exceptions, or additional treatment is required. Copilot licenses can be managed and deployed with SCA the same as any other supported Microsoft 365 license.
