Agent 365 enables you to integrate AI agents within SharePoint Online and OneDrive. An agent instance as a virtual identity can:
- Be added as a member of a site
- Be granted site or content access
With the SharePoint Online advanced management capabilities, SharePoint Online administrators can take further steps to monitor and manage agents within sites.
Observability and insights
The following capabilities provide rich insights on agent observability and access patterns.
Agent access insights: Rich insights for SharePoint Online administrators allow them to view which agents have accessed sites and OneDrive accounts within a given period. Furthermore, admins can take governance actions on the site with access control policy. Learn more in Insights report on SharePoint agents.
Permissions report for a specific agent: Governance reports provide SharePoint Online admin with the ability to view all sites accessible to an agent in the tenant. Learn more in Data access governance reports for SharePoint and OneDrive sites.
Access and sharing controls
Protect sites and content with access and sharing control policies for agents.
Restrict external sharing by agents: Use access and sharing control policies to ensure only the authorized blueprint agent is allowed to share content with external users.
Restricted access control: Restrict SharePoint site access with Microsoft 365 groups and Microsoft Entra security groups to ensure only the specified agent instances can access the site and its content.
