How to purchase Copilot credits
The following sections describe the different ways you can purchase Copilot Credits. To learn more about Copilot Credits, see the Copilot Credits Guide.
Copilot Studio pay-as-you-go
Pay-as-you-go is a way to pay for Copilot Studio by using an Azure subscription. This payment method helps you get started building agents without any license commitment or upfront purchasing. By using the pay-as-you-go meter, at the end of each month, your organization pays only for the actual number of Copilot Credits its agents use during the month.
In the Power Platform admin center, you can link environments to an Azure subscription by using a billing policy. Create a billing policy associated with your Azure subscription in Power Platform admin center.
Linking an environment to an Azure subscription turns on billing through Azure meters. Any app usage or Dataverse and Power Platform usage that exceeds the included amounts is billed to the Azure subscription.
You can unlink your environment from the Azure subscription at any time. After you unlink the environment, usage isn't billed.
Note
For instructions on how to set up your pay-as-you-go consumptive meter, see Set up pay-as-you-go.
Copilot Credits prepurchase plan
This plan is a one-year, prepaid option for Copilot Credits. A pool of Copilot Credit Commit Units (CCCUs) is usable across Microsoft eligible products. You can purchase this option in the Azure portal. You need to create a billing policy associated with your Azure subscription in Power Platform admin center.
