Track Credit Usage
While enrolled in the Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer, there are two important tools to help you manage your free Azure credits – the Microsoft for Startups Portal and directly in the Azure portal. While the Microsoft for Startups portal provides you with a quick snapshot of credits remaining, the Azure portal provides more detailed Azure credit usage data. View or download detailed usage data like resource name, type, region, and cost by going to Cost Management -> Billing > Usage+Charges. Click here for detailed steps.
The Azure Portal provides you with key information to estimate your Azure costs once your time concludes with the Microsoft for Startups Investor Offer.
Azure Sponsorship to Azure Pay-As-You-Go
Once you use all of your free Azure credits, your Azure sponsorship subscription is automatically converted to a paid subscription, also referred to as Pay-As-You-Go (a.k.a PayGo or Microsoft Online Service Program, MOSP). PayGo subscriptions are billed monthly. Only pay for what you use, enjoy access to more than 50 free services, with no upfront commitment. While enrolled in the program, Azure credits are consumed at PayGo rates, meaning the usage data available in the Azure Sponsorship Portal closely compares to what you see in your first invoice.
Once your subscription is converted, the Azure portal provides everything you need to manage your account.
Billing
Billing provides all the tools you need to manage your billing account and pay invoices. Once you use your Azure credits, the credit card you used to activate your Azure account is automatically charged each billing period for the previous month of usage. You can change the credit card on file or request to pay by invoice through wire transfer. To ensure a smooth transition between your sponsorship subscription and paid subscription, verify that credit card on your account hasn't expired.
