Release Notes for Teams Android Devices Management Apps

For Teams Android devices to function, there are several applications required for functionality. All required applications are included in bundled firmware from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). As an OEM releases a new firmware, new versions of required applications will be bundled in if available. The certified firmware list includes the details on the specific application versions bundled into an OEM firmware. This article provides the details about the releases of following apps for Android-based Teams devices:

  • Teams Admin Agent app
  • Microsoft Intune app
  • Authenticator app

  • Support for zero touch attestation (with tenant) for new MDEP devices (with version MDEP.2025.15.4).

  • App rollback support for Android devices (Not admin facilitated).

  • MDEP bug fix - provisioning failure using MAC ID + OTP.

This release is currently available for all Teams certified devices and contains following updates:

  • Support for Zero day updates for firmware and apps for out-of-box devices (separate communication for same will be done later).

  • Bug fixes for special cloud customers.

  • Bug fixes for critical security issue.

  • Improvements to device settings management by supporting partial configuration change and two-way sync of settings between Teams admin center and device.

  • Improvements to carry out operations like updates, configuration changes in a non-disruptive manner.

  • IP address support for Cisco devices.

  • Bug fixes to improve admin agent for better management of android devices.
