a.   The standard states that this element specifies the name of the PivotTable to get the data for the chart from.

In Office, the name of the PivotTable is defined using the following format:

[filename]sheet!pivottable

filename is the name of the SpreadsheetML file containing the PivotTable, sheet is the name of the worksheet containing the PivotTable, and pivottable is the name of the PivotTable itself.  The name of the PivotTable matches the name attribute of the pivotTableDefinition element ("[ISO/IEC-29500-1] §18.10.1.73; pivotTableDefinition (PivotTable Definition)") of the associated PivotTable.

If the name is not specified in the correct format or refers to an object that does not exist, no association between the chart and the PivotTable is made.
